I decided to look at 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 in two different Bibles and I thought that I would share the both of them with you so that you could see the difference between the two. I thought it was neat.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (message bible)
Love never gives up.
Love cares more for others than for self.
Love doesn't want what it doesn't have.
Love doesn't strut,
Doesn't have a swelled head,
Doesn't force itself on others
Isn't always "me first,"
Doesn't fly off the handle ,
Doesn't keep score of the sins of others,
Doesn't revel when others grovel,
Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,
Puts up with anything,
Trust God always,
Always looks for the best,
Never looks back,
But keeps going to the end.
Love never dies.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (NIV Bible)
Love is patient
Love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking. It is not easily angered. It keeps no record of wrongs. Love does delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hope, always perseveres. Love never fails.
13:4 Paul says that love "is patient." Sometimes we're irritated or angered by others, and we don't know why. Not all irritability stems from sinful or selfish motives, although the irritable treatment of others surely is wrong. Much irritability comes from a love of perfection, a deep desire that programs, meetings and structures be run perfectly. A desire to run things perfectly can erupt into anger at events or people who get in the way or ruin that desire. Those who are easily irritated need to remember that perfection exists only in God. We need to love him and our fellow Christians, not the visions we have for perfection here on earth.
13:4-7 Our society confuses love and lust. Unlike lust. God's kind of love is directed outward towards others, not inward toward ourselves. It is utterly unselfish. This kind of love goes against our natural inclinations. It is possible to practice this love only if God helps us set aside our own desires and instincts, so that we can give love while expecting nothing in return. Thus the more we become like Christ, the more love we will show to others

.Friends and Family
Rebecca Thomas sitting in the corner in the time out chair. Pretending to be sad. But it was her fault because she is the one who told me that I was stupid. It was for fun.

Psalms 100
Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations

Ryan and I
Once again this us on our hike. Ryan found this mushroom and picked it. It was huge...
Ryan and I went to the Apple Festival September of 2008 to listen to a friend of mine's husbands band.
Just sitting there on a rock. We went on a long long long hike and my sister decided that she liked that rock and wanted us to sit on it and take our picture. I think that it turned out pretty good.
